Would you have something removed if you had a high % of that area getting cancer?

Yes, Dad left me at 17, I would be a different person if he was still around. Love my mum though Xx

I thought a bit about it, and then voted yes, with the proviso that it was a bit of my body I could safely do without.

If breast cancer ran in my family - if my mum, aunts, sisters etc contracted it, then I would have no hesitation tbh. They are easily replaced with plastic and would be SO fashionable (I know that's a flippant comment and apologise in advance).

breast cancer DOES run in my family as does many many other things, still won't make me do it

Sorry Ella - a sensitive issue and I apologise again for being flippant.

Ultimately, for me it would depend on my specialists' opinions on the % likelihood of me developing breast cancer and their recommendations.

Oh i wasn't offended so no need to apologise Smile

2 aunts and my momma, have all contract BC, and well my mum has everything going Rolling Eyes but on my mums side anyway they are a very ill bunch, almost all the males are diabetic, 2 had lung cancer, alot suffer with blood clots (mum included) and thats just a start, so lets just say cancer doesn't scare me.

From a man point of view I think I would decline unless I could get some plastic ones to scratch instead , about all they get used for these days Laughing but seriously I'm fortunate enough to not have any history of testicular cancer in the family so don't have to make a decision like that , thank god Sad

It's a yes from me Big Grin they'd have to go if they're was even a remote chance, after my sis-in-law being diagnosed on 22/08/2011 and goin through hell I'd have them whipped off. Smile

No.

But if there was a higher than normal chance then I'd be extra vigilant & would bother the doctors at the slightest provocation!

Can always rely on Dave rolling on the floor Im not too sure. Although testicular cancer doesn't run in the family, my old man had mouth/throat cancer, and seeing everything he went through with ops and chemo etc etc for it then to be terminal don't think I'd go through with it.

High percentage and I would be there having whatever it is taken off .. mind, if I was older and did not have the same family responsibilities I do now my answer would change though.

I'd have what ever cut off, my dad died of lung cancer, took 3.5 years of watching him get weaker and sicker everyday, wouldn't wNt my daughter seeing that.
