After letting my girl lexi run round the dog park playing fields having lots of fun with the dogs there, I noticed when we got home she had a bit of a limp. I rested her that day and she seemed fine the next day. I took her to the dog park again and she was running around as usual and seemed fine. I noticed she has a bit of a limp again today. I am really hoping she has not got anything serious. Anyone else noticed this sort of thing happen with their staffy
many thanks

Hi and welcome to the forum from Chiquito and I Smile Would love to see some pics of Lexi!

Sorry to hear Lexi is feeling a bit sore! Chiquito had a similar issue a couple of weeks back .. muscle injury, dog park related too I believe. Rested him for a day and he seemed fine, flared up upon exercise for the following two days though - I gave him anti-inflammatory and rested him for a full week and he has been fine since Smile

Hi and welcome from us. Had a similar episode with Lola, and for the life of me couldn't put my finger on what it was. When she was asleep, I had a good route in her pads and found the tiniest cut. Needless to say it healed and was back to normal a couple of days later.

Hey and welcome!

It's likely to be soft tissue damage - a strain, twist or pulled muscle. It happens a lot with high energy dogs. Light, gentle exercise for a couple of days should help if it is soft tissue damage.

Have you checked her pads for any scrapes or foreign objects?

Hi and welcome to the forum from me and Gwen! I would rest her for a few days and only give her a little bit of light exercise and hopefully that will do the trick! If not you could pop her to the vet just to make sure it isn't something more serious!

My nephew Stan the Staffie joins me in saying Hi & welcome to the forum Smile
The other day Stan was limping & licking his right front paw & the vet found he had an infection in the skin between the pads of his paw. We have to bathe it in warm salt water & he's got 2 lots of tablets. We also have to try to keep him of gravel.
We wish Lexi better very soon. Love Struck
