exactly what I was thinking can see Ledger just ploughing through them but he will chase his boomer back to me so there might be a potential i can tame his ball obsession

Re: Treibball
Well just back from the class and Ledger is well and truly work out from 90mins of concentrating well what most dogs need to be taught 'nudging' the ball Ledger had from the outset I have to work backwards with him and reign in his ball obsession he was sending them all over the room and he would have burst them he hadn't been on lead
So we spent most of our time learning the techniques with a cone instead of a ball. Lots of clicker training getting him to face me then nudge the cone with his nose and towards the end sending him away to sit on a target mat. If nothing else I was immensely proud of him and his obedience as the last time we had been in that room it was for his bronze award and he freaked, also he had never met any of the other 3 dogs in the class today but was certainly the least stressed i have seen him in a new situation
Lots of things to work on at home and I have a gym ball to work on de-sensitising him to it but it was also suggested I try it with a football etc something a bit more robust.
But definitely recommend giving a class a go if you can find one near you
