First Season On Its Way **Updated**
****She is officially in her first season****
Hi All,
I believe Marley is in for her first season any day now. i am seeing some physical "changes" in her body that may indicate so. I am prepared i think, from her "booty shorts" or "lady pants" to getting her used to restricted walks in the yard instead of our twice daily 45 minute walks.
We also has a 10 month mini dachshund, they are really good buddies and get along well. She has not come into season yet. One of my concerns is could there be possible mood swings directed at her by our 8 month staffy if she goes into season? keeping them seperate for 3 weeks in the same house is no issue, as they do not sleep together or even sleep in the same room. they are both supervised by myself when together at all times, so that Marley doesnt squash her.
Update on Marley
She is 8 months now, weighing at 29lb or 13kg. We are taking a break from summer training classes, but we do daily commands and ques at home (sit, stay, come, down, go to bed, leave it, off, chase/play). still working on the loose lead walking. had a severe and sudden bout of hook and roundworms accompanied by explosive diarhea from eating mystery turds in the yard (i think those turds are my moms cat turds, there will be a seperate post on combating that). She is worm free now and the vet says her digestive system is now rebuilding good bacteria over the next few days. we love her to bits!!!
She is on my wifes instagram daily @pattitxbda and #suffolkssapphiregirl. My wife has no problem with me posting that info btw.

Any hygein pants users, did you leave them on her while she was crated? i have her crated when im at work, for 4 hours. i didnt put them on her in there yet.
Re: First Season On Its Way **Updated**
Mine only wore them when around the house to protect the furniture & carpet, just use a odl towel in the crate that you can wash easily

I would not have the pants on while she is in the crate!! They are pretty good at knowing what to do and keeping themselves clean! The pants are really just to protect your rugs, furniture, etc so there's really no reason to have them on while she is crated. I would put an old blanket in her crate..just make sure to wash it or put a clean blanket in each day! Good luck to you both!
