Kennel Club Pup?

I don't really know much, if anything about KC, only that its more for breeders/breeding?? I have a Blue Staffy who's 13 weeks now. Should I KC register her? I don't plan on breeding her, in fact getting her spade once shes old enough. What are the benefits of KC?? and if the benefits are worth it, how I go about registering her?? I guess it would be nice to say "yeah, she's KC registered" but its kind of like a doggie diploma to me, for the title lool x

Only the breeder can register pups and the parents have to also be KC registered in the first place!

Benefits of a KC reg pup is that you can trace her family tree all the way back. You also know that they are full breed and not crossed!

Only the breeder can register a litter, so I doubt the parents are KC'd, otherwise she would be registered!

I'm afraid not. She'd need to be registered by the breeders. She's still gorgeous though! Love her eyes!

She's a beauty, but as said above^^^ this is something done by the breeder.

Thanks everyone! Yh its just there is some talk about KC and just wanted to know more about it really. Now I know lol. Im hoping her eyes stay grey, they are kind of bluey-Grey at the moment. I wonder what the chances are of them staying that colour lol? x (Also she looks a bit boss-eyes :S

Gwen's eyes have stayed green. When we got her at 8 weeks the vet said they would most likely change and get darker. Then when we brought her in when she was 4 months old and they were still green he said they might stay light and that they usually have darkened by this age. Gwen is now 6 months old and her eyes are still light..so we think they are definitely going to stay green and not turn brown at this point. Its considered a breed flaw to have light eyes, they are supposed to be be dark..however we think her eyes are so pretty and she gets compliments on them all the time! Did you see her parents? Were their eyes light? Either way she will be beautiful! She's such a little cutie!

This is her parents, She looks like her mummy but she has stripes of her dads colour when you look at her in the sunlight. The mum is a blue and i think the dad is whats called a fawn?? or blue fawn. Im not too sure lol x

What do you mean? As she's been vets and they say she is, and the breeder has papers to say they are x

you shouldn't say because people will take it the wrong way and say they got irish staff

I don't think the parents are KC registered and tbh not many staffs look like that :/ this is a pitbull and they definitely do not look like this looool



They have longer legs than a 'stereotypical' staff and as we all know, there are so many variations of staff but they are all registered as a Staffordshire bull terriers under the vets.

Lets just see how she grows, I know one thing for sure, shes going to be one beautiful staffy, cannot even go down the shops without being stopped 10 times loool

The picture you posted is def not an american pitbull terrier, its an american bully. I think the parents look pit type too. However I'm sure you love her regardless of her breed so it doesn't really matter if she's full staff. Also just because the vet says something doesn't mean its true. Its hard for even a vet to tell the breed of a puppy at this age..and he hasn't seen the parents. I'm sure she will be a beautiful dog because she is adorable now! If she isn't KC registered what kind of papers do you have? Because simply a paper saying she's a SBT doesn't mean it is legitimate!

On her documents at the vets and her insurance papers. And yes we love her regardless, as we had a previous staffy who unfortunately had a debilitating illness and was layed to rest, we know our environment and household will make her one soppy lil lady lol

I cant see the photo of the parents She's proper cute though looks like a cheeky little bean.
