Besides the obvious of checking that your internet speed/connection is good ... is it only FB that is playing up? What browser are you using?

Re: Laptop too slow to use
could be your hard drive on the way out hayley and when its booting up our searching for pages it may be clitching and not following the correct load up path .

do you mean re format or reboot your drivers if you only done a reboot drivers you may need to do a defragg but as you say no files atall on the lappy im guessing you re formated in which case a de fragg will be of no use

Re: Laptop too slow to use
Have you tried running a health check on it?
And as above - if there are no files, no defragment ... if files, remove everything unnecessary from your desktop, stop all unnecessary startup programs and defragment

Re: Laptop too slow to use
I dunno what I did then. I just pressed f8 lol
It doesn't have any old accounts or anything (I did this cause I lost the admin password and couldn't delete anything, now I can)

Re: Laptop too slow to use
First restart your Toshiba laptop. Press either "F1," "0," or "F8" to be taken to your computer's hard drive utility screen. The key command differs depending on the model Toshiba computer that you own.
Select "Restore Original Factory Image" from the list of options in System Recovery. Verify that you want to continue the process by clicking "Yes," then click "Next".

You can skip one if you have a decent anti virus and have kept it updated

Re: Laptop too slow to use
hayley do you still use photo shop as just been looking at the specs and probs for your lappy and high drain programs like photoshop will cook your processer
specs show purelly a web browsing budget to mid range lappy
so ideal for browsing and the forum and fb but anything more straining will burn out your processer
