We got there!!!
It's taken time, patience, confidence and a lot of self belief... But finally I think we've got it
Quick history.. As a Pup, Rolo was basically attacked by people it seemed everywhere we went, walking down a footpath on lead at least 3 cyclists kicked out at him as they rode past, one deliberately rode at him... my partner verbally dealt with him. On walks he was attacked by a screaming banshee of a woman who dived at him with her umbrella when he was totally ignoring her.. and so on.. the list went on of the stupid people we encountered, and I gave up the thought of ever letting him back off where people could hurt him, I was to scared .... Until that is, a few months ago... I decided to take a stand. I called up friends, organised social walks and also a few play dates where we could practice longline work and start letting him off, I always knew it wasn't him, it was me.... But now my boy is 18 months and I've become so proud of his behavior on lead and off! I just wanted to let people know that if you take action into your own hands anything is possible.

Re: We got there!!!
Thank you all He really is coming along great, I'm so proud of him and we've got a great bond of trust now. Yes there are a lot of nut jobs out there.... But I know they are just that... The group walks have become a regular event one Sunday a month and we encourage anyone who has a dog that needs socialising to come along with us
