Post by Bruno311210 Wed Mar 30 2011, 14:56

Hi

Just wondering if anyone can help ?

When i tell Bruno off with a firm no, he barks back at me and i keep saying no but it is as if he's got to have the last word, its reminds me of me and my son Laughing is there away to stop it or is it just a puppy thing ?

Thanks In Advance

I've been told to ignore them if they "talk back." Stop what you are doing and turn away from them and continue to ignore them until they calm down.

He's getting better, then?

Seriously, good advice by everyone. The nipping & the answering back are two different problems & they'll stop at some point if you're consistant. In the meantime you might want to invest in some shin pads! Big Grin

Personally I don't mind the answering back too much as long as it isn't excessive, and the dog still does what I've asked it to do!

To be honest no.......I just put his pocket money upto £50 a week so he doesn't owe me as much at the end of the week Laughing
