lock jaw
I always thought staffys had a lock jaw but my vet tells me they don't.

Your vet is right, it's just a myth. Their jaw structure is the same as any other breed.

did your vet tell you their head don't really split too . They have an extremely powerful jaw , but no it definitely does not "lock"

I thought you were talking about tetanus as well!
There seems to be more myths about Staffies than any other breed - anyone believing them would think they were aliens what with jaws locking and heads splitting.
They're just dogs - loving, beautiful, lively, strong - with no weird physical attributes apart from their ability to lie down - splat - with their hind legs apart like a frog!
