End of my rope with Marley eating poo!!
Help please!!!!
I am at the end of my rope with marley eating mystery poo. Its gross and so far has costed me $300 at the vet so far in medication and visits. She started pooping violently with blood and mucus and it was examined and she is "full of worms". my beautiful pup who i dote over and take great care of has worms because some other dog/cat is crapping in our yard daily. its almost like we are held hostage its so frustrating to have her leashed in her own yard. she will obey no command for eating the poo, she is pro at leave it, but not with the poo. i spend the entire time outside with her wathing where she is sniffing, so she doesnt eat a poo. obviously at 11pm when its dark out, i cant spot the poo, but she manages to find a nice mouthful. oh my god its so frustrating, especially since its making her ill.
i dont know what to do anymore. i just want her to stop eating poo.

This is something most pups outgrow at some point. I completely understand the grossness of it, but if there is no way to secure your yard, you may have to do night potty runs on lead.

I agree with Ben, you may need to do night time potty visit on lead, then at least you can control what she is or isn't eating Marley listen to your daddy and stop munching poop

Oh I feel for you, we had the same problem when we got Molly, she would on occasion eat her own poo.. But with plenty of leave it and a firm NO! command she grew out of it. It is a common thing to occur so don't panic. She will grow out of it I'm sure..

I think there's a couple of plants that are meant to keep cats away? They don't like the smell of them or something. Maybe go have a chat to the local nursery? On the other hand, I don't know how safe they are for pups (especially when eaten).

Colin seems to be in a phase of eating his own if we don't get to him quick enough... nearly been sick a few times, and must admit, its puts me off getting my daily wash from him! It's gross.... I saw his mum do it when she was cleaning up after the litter but don't understand him starting out of the blue
