Hello Everyone! I'm here now!

Hello everyone, my name is Betty. I do have a 4 and half-year-old Staffy named Barnaby. He started out to be my son's dog in college, however he came back to live with me and my husband at six months old. I am a medically retired deputy sheriff and I was involved in a drive-by shooting and left paralyzed from the neck down. Barnaby loves to sleep with me. Since I am paralyzed from the neck down, I stay cold from the neck up. Barnaby loves to sleep across my tummy and put his nose up to the heater on my bedside table. Now that my son has graduated college and is living back with us in the basement, as many college graduates are doing these days because of the job situations, he now sleeps downstairs with Tony. I miss him sleeping with me, but I have a black lab companion dog that sleeps beside me down on the floor. I also have a black lab/Rottweiler mix that also stays with Barnaby in my son's room. It will be nice getting to know everyone and I look forward to it.
