Recall

As most of you probably know, Dempsey's recall leaves a lot to be desired & normally relies on me being near enough for him to think he can be grabbed if he doesn't come back! Laughing

His 'stay' is very good, though, so I can generally keep him out of mischief.

Lately I've been trying to improve his recall, and we've been doing reasonably well. Last week he came back first call from about 20 feet - which is amazing for him! thumbs up

Then yesterday morning, he was about 50' away, and I called him in my silliest, happiest voice. He looked up, his ears pricked & he came lolloping towards me! Surprised

Wow, I thought, what an achievement! I was feeling really proud of him & myself!

Then, when he was nearly with me, he did a little detour - straight past me & over to his friend, Lady the greyhound, who I hadn't seen behind me. Sad
