Alton Towers
Not long got back, booked the dog walker for Ledger and headed over for the day with my brother
Tickets were £8.50 each of Tesco clubcard vouchers so even with the £6 parking it was a great value day maybe as the forecast was pants and the new ride Smiler isn't open yet but it was really quiet despite the schools being on holiday, only had one ride where we queued for 45 mins the rest were all under 20 as we used the single rider queues to fill in the gaps
Not been for years and it is looking very tired in places, the gardens have been massively neglected which is a shame but really enjoyed the day

Re: Alton Towers
Ive been once to Alton Towers and it was in the middle of the summer hols and it was dead! Nothing like a normal fun fair, far to spread out, spent most of the day walking about. No Q's for the rides though which was a bonus.

It is a tiring day, you need lots of fast food to keep you going

It was the same when I went to Disney Paris. It was jan so like -1 so noone was stupid enough to go cause of the risk of hypothermia hahaha

Re: Alton Towers
Love Alton Towers easy the best in the country. Not been for ages, used to always go when I was a kid. My kids no into them so I would have to go on my own. Managed to get my youngest on all the rides at Camalot last year and tried to get her on the Pepsi Max in Blackpool but she was having none of it
Might take the youngest next year. Last time I went they had just brought out the Nemisis. Miss the Thunder Looper that was the best
