Re: just great
Do you know what the cocoa percentage is in the ice cream ? If it isn't too high you shouldn't have anything to worry about

Re: just great
The general rule is that it takes 2 ounces of milk chocolate per pound of body weight to cause serious damage. How much was in the pot?
If it was a small pot and there are no side effects or symptoms showing, she's probably fine. Watch her closely for the next few hours. Chances are it might upset her tummy a bit, but unless she shows signs of distress, I'd just keep an eye on her.

Oh dear me, yes I feel your pain re- the 19yr old son, mines 20. Hopefully there's not enough cocoa in it to cause any damage. Keep your eye on her for the 24 hrs

Ewww yuck!
Have you considered putting a baby gate up against the door? That way, there's a reminder there for your son to close the door/gate.

Re: just great
Rupert ate an unopened pack of chocolate digestives about a month ago. I was worried because of all the things I'd heard about chocolate and dogs. But it all came out the next day and he seems not to have been ill or anything.
