Re: chicken heads
Not really sure Lisa ... I was reading something in a raw page this week about introducing feathers later (it mentioned something about the feathers possibly digging into the pups mouth) though I am not sure exactly what 'later' means!

Re: chicken heads
Nooooo leave the feathers on! they are perfectly fine to eat as is fur! They also teach them to eat proper food and alot of dogs pluck them themselves which is good mental exercise for them

Ella!! I have just given them to them - feathers and all. Vinny didn't even flinch : two bites and it was down. Roxy sucked the brains out and played with it (which I'm not allowed to tell the OH about) > It was great to watch!!!

Re: chicken heads
Definitely will do Tomorrow I am planning to spoil them: they're each getting a sheep's head Massive meal so that will be it for the day and I may fast them the day after.

one head each or split? one head might be too much for one dog! lol

I give whole chickens often and they were still looking for food

Re: chicken heads
Mine have become "impossible" looking for food even though they've just eaten. And what a terribly mummy I am for not giving in > Should've seen their faces the other morning cos I gave them a small breakfast since I'd a bigger dinner planned

Re: chicken heads
haha the boys are a lot better now, especially since being fed once a day they very rarely look for food anymore which is nice

Re: chicken heads
once a day does sound better. with Vinny being 7 months I'm not too keen to change him to once a day yet, so I'll keep them both on twice a day for a little longer.
Fed them some delicious lambs liver this week - Roxy refused point blank to eat it!! I think she is fussy with her textures

Try feeding liver frozen alot of dogs don't like raw liver but it's essential they get it

Diesel is the same she won't eat fresh liver, it has to be frozen first then usually give it to her partially frozen, try in to let let it defrost more an more eat time to trick her into eat in it fresh
