No, Steve. Mine were started in a little greenhouse in my back garden so they were already quite well grown when they were planted out! If you'd started them outside any earlier you'd have lost them from the frost.

looks fantastic, would love one but around here its so hard to get one as they are really saught after. cant do anything in the garden either as the dogs would just dig it up. i love home grown and it tastes so much beter

Gosh you are way ahead of me, I doubt if I'll get anything planted at this rate.. OH is very slow at doing as he's asked... Got some toms in the green house and some cue's in there too but nothing in the ground yet.. My fruit bushes are will produce fruit for the first time this year,, we have gooseberry's forming already. Lots of fruits on the blackcurrants and loads of blossom on the apple and plum tree..
