Lilys kitchen
Have just started Densil on Lilys Kitchen dog food - a bit pricey but well worth it knowing he is eating natural ingredients with no nasty additives. I feel so guilty as I think I unknowingly poisoned my last dog by feeding her pedigree petfood.

Re: Lilys kitchen
Looks a nice food, but wow, isn't it expensive!
Please don't think you 'poisoned' your dog by feeding pedigree. It isn't a great food, but if you don't know what to look for, how do you know? Back when I had my first dog pedigree tinned food was the best you could get!
What's important is that as we find out about things we learn for the future.

Not at all - I'm on a pension. I used their feeding guidelines so if I feed 60/40 dried to wet food a 7kg of the dried food will last 28 days and roughly work out around £1.40 a day. This would mean 1/2 tin of the dried food a day and they are about £2.20 each. I will be feeding twice a day morning and evening. Also if he has some biscuits/treats at lunchtime I can cut down a bit on the dried food. However, I also intend to replace some of the tins with some home cooked meals from the dinner for dogs book which I have ordered. i also thought I could give sardines with one meal and raw egg with another once a week which will also cut down on costs.
