Re: perfect holiday??
Any place with a beach so I could dive and a dojo not far away would be fine by me. Of course it also has to be dog friendly

Shut up, there are pyramids . I wouldn't like the heat though, that'd put me off.

Re: perfect holiday??
I'd buy one of those big motor homes and just drive anywhere and everyhere around UK and EU. that way I wouldnt have to worry about finding dog friendly places to stay in each night. Start at the south west and move up through wales and accross to Ireland back across and up to scotland and a ferry to Scandinavia. then zig zag down through every country.

The biggest let down in the world! a bunch of triangles in the middle of a city and you have to walk in a fenced walk way or get a bus because otherwise you are just tormented by the people selling you *. They all stand shouting at the bus and at the fence shouting and trying to grab you to sell you some crap. Egypt is awful, you can't leave your hotel. Its got bloody nice hotels, but thats about it.

For us it would be The Coromandel Peninsular in New Zealand, that place is just beautiful. It's not very big so may have to make it a very slow trip around.

Re: perfect holiday??
I'd split it.
Two months in France (south, but not the touristy bit), three months in San Francsisco, then back to the UK and spend some time travelling around the wild bits I've never visited before, then the worst of the winter months somewhere warm & quiet........but definitely not Egypt!
