Highway code
Thought i would pop on here and have a moan as my family are fed up of me moaning
After quitting 11 yrs ago with my driving lessons ive decided to take it back up again .. why oh why did i stop all those yrs ago as im trying to learn the highway code but it wont go in ... the actual driving is going ok but the bloody book seems to mock me everytime i pick it up .. my instructor is on my back to book my theory test but ive been thinking public transport isnt that bad right?????

Re: Highway code
Your right, public transport isnt so bad! I passed my test in 09 and havnt driven since! Although i can imagine it would open up a whole new world and freedom to have your own car....my oh is my chauffeur so i dont need to drive (thats my excuse anyway)

I stopped my driving lessons when a wooden post jumped in front of me & stove in the bonnet.

Re: Highway code
I just read the book back to front about 20/30 times (OCD) and I passed my theory 1st time, learning it is a lot scarier than it is good luck

Re: Highway code
I did the same when I was 17. For some reason I cannot even remember I stopped my driving lessons even though I owned a car. I must have left it for a good 18 months-2 years before taking it up again and I'm so glad I did because the theory test was bought in shortly after I passed my test. It could have all been so different.

Re: Highway code
Probably shouldnt be saying this as a road safety campaigner, but you can wing it easily. only about 10% of the book is covered and its all common / general knowledge

Wohoo Well Done!
I'm lucky they hadn't invented driving tests yet so I never had to take one, I just got a car and drove
