Even more reason to love our fur babies Dogs are great for getting exercise and weight loss.. I feel a lot fitter since getting Steff with all the walks and everything I have lost a few kilos and I am definitely happier and more content since getting her

I would completely agree that owning a dog is good for you, since Rocky has been with us I have lost a considerable amount of weight (about 8 kilos so far and still loosing it) and feel so much better for it. I will soon be back to 55 Kilos which is what I weighed when I left school. Only another couple to go.

So true. And reduces stress levels, makes you happier, takes your minds off bad things, great way for kids to learn responsibility. A lot of mental health benefits.

I got Bacchus when I retired. He gets me out of the house and I get exercise every day come rain hail snow or shine whether I like it or not. Have met lots of nice doggy people and lost a stone in weight.
Pity the potential longevity and health benefits also extend to some of the pondlife out there too.
