Best dog treats??
I am looking to get my staffy new dog treats to help training and potty training. Any advice on the best treats to go with? She is has her first puppy lessons at petsmart tonight so i will most likely be going there for them. Thanks!

I always find for training the best treats are things like hot dogs & cheese. Cut them into tiny pieces as they will be getting plenty and you don't want to dog turning into a fatty

I use a variety of things as Molly is very fussy, at the moment, she has two types of gravy bones, as well as the occasional Whiskers Temptations. As Blue said, hot dogs and cheese work really well, we also use coachies, they're so small a handful of them go for ages, and they're low in fat. Wagg treats are good as well, break them up into halves or quarters and again, they go on for ages.

For training, doggie choc drops for Boris or cubes of cheese, and hot dogs for Tilly. For training you don't want something it takes ages for them to eat.
Loads of people swear by liver cake, but I've never been brave enough to attempt to make it yet

I use Wilkinsons own brand fishy treats (tuna) with Dempsey. Although he loves cheese he won't eat it outside the house! He doesn't like hot dogs (can't blame him there) and I can't stand the smell of liver (but then Dempsey doesn't like that, either, so it doesn't matter!).
Waggs are good too, and you can get them for sensitive stomachs & low fat.

I use doggy choc drops when training with Ty. Alot of the people in my doggy group use liver cake and Ty has just taken a liking to it so I got the recipe off the internet and am going to give it a go.

Re: Best dog treats??
Be warned.. I made a liver cake once and the pong was horrific!!!!! The smell seemed to linger for ever.. but Jethro loved every crumb! However I don't think I will ever be making another one... Now I just buy bags of dried liver.. Yes that might be slack but it is alot easier on the nose !!
