I was in Pets at Home the other day with Doug to get him a harness when 2 young girls came in, 1 with a tiny puppy in her jumper! He was the cutest lil fella I've seen in a long time. Our conversation went a little like this:

Me: Oh what a cute little guy! How old is he?

Girl: 10 weeks!

Me: Wow! He's a little Staffordshire Bull Terrior isn't he? What's his name?

Girl: No he's a Staffy

Me: It's the same thing. Staffy is short for SBT.

Girl: No he's a full bred, A SBT is a cross with a Pit Bull (!!!)

Lady that works in shop: No darling a Stafforshire Bull Terrior is the full name for a Staffy. That dog (pointing to Doug) is the same as your's. A pit bull cross is something totally different.

I had no words at this point at wits end
