New rooster
well after the short stint with a rooster ended abruptly i decided to get another one. he is the same size as my girls so they have taken to him a little more and he seems to follow them about which is handy

From most people, nothing. Roosters are very lucky to make it to the "past a day old" stage. Most are necked as soon as they hatch, if the owner can tell them apart that young. The "pedigree show" ones can cost money but you need to be in the trade to want one really. I always try to offer at least £10 but noone takes it. Its a bit scary really
