What could this be?
For about two weeks now, Zeus has been acting really strange when it comes to food. In the mornings, he used to scoff his food down, now he's not interested at all, he used to love eating bananas and carrots among other treats but he's not interested in them either. His poo has been really soft/water like and this morning he pooed something that looked like jelly. Could this be some sort of bacterial infection?

Re: What could this be?
Two weeks sound like a long time to be fussy over his food, is he drinking normally.. Best to give the vet a ring just to see if he thinks it's worth a visit.. good luck. Keep us posted.

Re: What could this be?
Hi Pag, yes he's been drinking normally, his behaviour has been the same, he still wants to play etc, the only other odd thing about him is that he goes into his crate by himself even if we're in the living room (which he doesn't do much, he always wants to be around us)

Re: What could this be?
I think a trip to the vet's is a must, if he's off his food and not behaving normally then something is not as it should be, I wouldn't wait any longer if it's been going on for two weeks already. best of luck x

Re: What could this be?
What are you feeding? Sometimes dog just get a bit sick of their food. Lexi had the same food for years then one day it just turned against her as she got really sick. Changed the food and there was an immediate change. Maybe a bad batch or something.

Possibly getting sick of the food as Hayley says. This is def a regular thing with my Logan.
However, if you aren't feeling great about it, it may be worth popping into the vet.

Great advice ella, as soon as I read this, I took him to the vets and he said the same thing, Zeus has got colitis.
He gave some prednisolone tablets, xeden flavoured tablets and pro-kolin paste to give him. He also told me to starve him until saturday morning to give his tummy a rest.
Hopefully this sorts it out! Thanks all

Re: What could this be?
I know, its heartbreaking, he keeps looking at me with the look he gives when hes hungry and wants to eat. Then he'll sit in the kitchen knowing that's where his food is
Vet told me to feed him on 'chappies' on Saturday and Sunday as its meant to be really light food. I also done some research and I found that apparantly protein rich food can be a cause of Colitis, so maybe Zeus isn't handling Orijen well with its high meat content? Thinking about possibly moving to James Well Beloved as I've read a lot of good reviews on here
