Uh-OH!!!! Charlie has discovered chewing sticks is fun!!! I don't remember asking for his help in pruning!!! lol and if I don't watch him closely we'll have NO bamboo in the garden this year!!!!! (That would be sad as it's lovely Smile )

Swap the sticks for something he is allowed to chew or a toy.

Logan loves crunching them up too, but thankfully he spits em out.

As Kathy says try and divert it to something else to chew on if it is worrying you Smile

Is there something he doesn't like the smell of that you could dab on the bamboo, A tiny spot of T Tree oil usually does the trick for Rocky, or maybe some Vicks vapour rub ??

Tiger is only 17 months old Staffie, so still very much a puppy and although he doesn't chew indoors, he keeps finding sticks in the garden to chew. Is it something he feels he can get in a stick that he has a deficiency of, or is it just a normal puppy thing. We are frightened he will get bits stuck in his tummy or throat.

I have a collection of sticks, acorns, burst footballs, half tennis balls that Frank finds on the local walk (we never start the walk with these items) but he will carry them the whole way and then home and leaves them all at the front door, thankfully he don’t chew the sticks tooo often.

Will never ever allow my dogs to chew sticks far to dangerous

Harvey managed to find one and sneakily chewed it and ended up with a shard caught in his throat which became a huge abscess leading to a stay at the vets, when he was a pup.

This is why my plants are on a raised plant stand, my apple tree trunk has guttering wrapped around it and we decked n paved the garden !

Dogs cost a fortune in many ways lol x

I'd substitute it with a stagbar tbh - much more fun to chew than anything else.

Louby likes chewing sticks/logs, the bigger the better...but a couple of times she has come runnign in panicking and when ive looked she has got the wood trapped inbetween her teeth and i've had to gouge it out. Not pleasant. She is much happier with plastic bottles, she loves the sound of them in her mouth and she presses on the plastic. There are lots of them about with it being warm weather.
