Hello everyone. Not been on for ages (again). But need some opinions. I'm thinking off buying sids half sister as some company for him. But wondering to myself whether it would be a good thing or bad...she is only 6 weeks at the min so would be another 2 weeks if I chose yes. Also,if I do,names,I'm liking old fashioned names like Martha and Ethel...anyway any help would be good.

As Caryll says , good age gap so depends on you really , finances , time etc etc

Martha is a lovely name ( Sid and Martha sounds good) not so keen oin Ethel though , I don't think that is one of those names that carries on if you know what I mean and is just an old name

No way I could cope with two but if you can then great, I'd love to ge Daisy a companion, although it would have to be a big, softy that would tolerate her jumping all over them, wanting to play all the time!!

Martha is a great name, rather than Ethol what about, Etty, that would be cute Big Grin

I love having two dogs although the dynamics change a bit. I love laska to bits but marley is my rock and we have that bond where we work together keeping her out of mischief etc. As im typing this laska is snuggled into me while marley is chewing a toy, if i were to call him he would come up and sniff laska make sure she is okay and then see what i really wanted. I couldnt imagine being without either of them and to think two years ago i was uming and arring over having just one.

Def dave as you know yourself mate. Everything is 50/50 with love treats etc but having marley around has made bringing laska up from a pup so much more easier. He has guided her so much with body language and behaviour around other dogs. Sometimes its been like he cant wait to show her what to do bless him. And of course she has us both under her spell the little tyke...

When both of them are out the reward training is 50% , Tommy gets a "good boy" and a treat and I turn round and Tilly is there waiting for hers and vice versa
Both very different characters and Tommy is the independent one where Tilly just wants to be cuddled up to someone (back of chair , on bed etc) but Tommy is still full of love he just likes to do his own thing and come for a fuss when he wants

If he is good with other dogs and has all the basic training skills then go for it. (Allot harder to train one while the other is jumping of their head Laughing

) Blue is starting trainin tomorrow to get him better socialised. If it goes well then in a couple of years I will 100% get another one

Not keen on Mabel or Pearl but the others are nice Big Grin

Especially like Mila

Saorise/Sercha is nice too, don't supose you watch game of thrones? Cersai and Sansa are cool names... (IMO!!)

I love the idea of 2 dogs but I know I couldn't cope with another one. I like Martha, or Mabel or even Elsa - although Elsa and Sid could sound a bit like El Cid Big Grin

Can't call her mishka...friends cat has that name. And no,definitely no hanky panky going on with his sister. She would have to be "done" when ready.

Well today was the first day I've left them together while I went to work...came back to two happy dogs and one chewed up box and my shoes had moved into the living room....think we all know which one that was!! But a successful day I think. Admittedly I did keep coming back to check on them!!

I love Pepper Sprout. I love all non-human names. Rupert was already called Rupert when I got him. On here, I partic like the names Dragon and Stig although I'm sure there are loads of others too.

I also quite like the really old show dog names.
