Seasonal feeding
Does anyone vary the amount they feed their dog based on what season it is? Do you feed less in winter and more in summer based on them getting more exercise?

Re: Seasonal feeding
The only time I feed more or less to Logan is sometimes he gets a bit more harder exercise at the weekends so I up his food and give him a more protein based meal.
If something was to happen that we could get out walking for example I would probably feed him a bit less.
Other than that not exactly seasonally.

Re: Seasonal feeding
The season don't really effect Rocky eating habits either. When he hurt his paw recently he wasn't able to walk so he was only eating a little each day then. Back up to regular walks now and he is eating as he was before.

Re: Seasonal feeding
Dempsey gets roughly the same exercise summer or winter, so I don't change his food amounts.

Re: Seasonal feeding
no i don't do seasonal feeding BUT i do not feed the same amount each day of the year, i do alot of gorge meals which can be 2kg+ but they need to be taught hold to handle that amount of food, then some days they get almost nothing
