I need a ipad2 camera connection kit, am I best buying an apple one or is a generic one just as good?

A third party kit should work OK, if it says "Not Recognized" just unplug it then plug it back in again. Please buy it from a reputable dealer though.

Just check the reviews ( I tend to go for the one with the large amounts of reviews) and make sure your ipad is included , I know ages ago I looked at a TV connection kit for my ipod and found many pitfalls with ultimately only the most expensive one (apple) being the one that would work for me at the time as apple seem to love changing things from version to version
