Cassie smelling so badly Empty Cassie smelling so badly

Hi all it been a while, since Cassie was spayed on the 1st of march she seems to wet the bed at night and her wee smells concentrated, she drinks plenty and her wee is clear through the day it only seems at night, she has 3 walks a day but the evening walk is only about 40 mins long compared to an 1hr 1/2 she used to get could that be why? I will take her to the vets but I wanted to ask the experts advice 1st as David would have, she is still raw fed and her weight seems to fluctuate between 14 & 15 kg on jollies scales is this ok? Thanks for reading .Ali

Hi Ali, 14/15 kg sounds ok, they're are all different shapes and sizes, sorry I can't help with the peeing but I'm sure someone will be along shortly who can help, perhaps she has a UTI, best to pop the vets just to check Smile

She could have a urinary tract infection or be devolping cystitus (sorry about the spelling). I'd call the vet to see what they think. They will also likely want a urine sample as well

I agree with jstaff, it sounds like a UTI, especially as she was recently spayed - it's quite common.

Thank you all for your suggestions I will take her to the vets Monday evening, I only asked because David used to say you all knew better than vets between you all and we're far cheaper lol, it cost me £30 just to have the vet look for damage after Cassie was attacked, I surprised myself and David would of been proud because even though I am not confident with dogs picked Cassie up and away from the other dog who was determined to get at her, the owner said Cassie should be muzzled but she was on her lead walking at my side, anyway she was ok but it was an expensive walk lol, Ali

Finally got Cassie an appointment in the vets on Monday, you were all right that it's common for them to get uti's after spaying so it's antibiotics for 7 days and they should clear it up, thank you all for your knowledge and advice. Ali x
