Positive staff story in Times
I was a bit suprised that they published this in The Times - and I'm sure some of the people on here who have done rescue work have come across dogs as thin as Archie... but still. I happy story. Page 20.

Archie, a Staffordshire bull terrier cross, is a picture of health after being adopted by Natalie Stewart-Kerr, right, with her son Corey.
The dog, had been starved to the brink of death by his previous owner, who had called him Boxer. He was so emaciated that a vet said he was the thinnest dog he had ever seen alive.
Archie’s body weight is now up by more than 120 per cent after being properly fed. He enjoys being taken for walks and has a new friend in the family’s other dog, a lurcher called Poppy. Ms Stewart-Kerr, her husband Paul, and sons Finlay, 11, and Corey, 7, have worked hard to rebuild Archie’s confidence. “He still doesn’t like being on his own, but he’s a different dog,” said Ms Stewart-Kerr .

i hate reading stories about dogs being mistreated and under fed! how could a human do that? it baffles me.
on the other side, there's nothing better than a nice story of a dog coming back to full health. you can tell off that little paragraph the dog is much happier now.
