iv heard a lot of people saying that raw meat and such is better for your dog than expensive dry foods?
is there anything wrong with this method?

It's never too late to start him on it, but make sure to do your research first of course Smile start him off gradually on chicken, and then introduce different meats after a while, just to make it easier on his stomach. Here are some links:

A RAW diet is absolutely fantastic if done properly so for sure read up on the links provided and if it suits you go for it! I just don't have the room or the resources to do it properly I feel. But possibly some day.

Raw isn't complicated. I do for all three of mine and they love it! Check out the info here https://staffy-bull-terrier.niceboard.com/t14787-raw-diet

If you're finding it too complicated you can always keep him on a good-quality dry food and go back to it at a later date. It's not as complicated as it sounds, and the people here who feed raw can help you if you have any questions so you don't get confused Smile

Honestly I don't do it for the price and I feed a base of chicken quarters as that is less expensive. My total cost is much less than what you quote. For three dogs 12 days I spend about $25 US.
