Barf diet
iv heard a lot of people saying that raw meat and such is better for your dog than expensive dry foods?

It's never too late to start him on it, but make sure to do your research first of course start him off gradually on chicken, and then introduce different meats after a while, just to make it easier on his stomach. Here are some links:

Re: Barf diet
A RAW diet is absolutely fantastic if done properly so for sure read up on the links provided and if it suits you go for it! I just don't have the room or the resources to do it properly I feel. But possibly some day.

If you're finding it too complicated you can always keep him on a good-quality dry food and go back to it at a later date. It's not as complicated as it sounds, and the people here who feed raw can help you if you have any questions so you don't get confused

Re: Barf diet
iv read them posts, i get the jist of it now while hes only 4 1/2 months id like to get him onto raw. i cant see the cheap side to it, i was on a link and it was £40 for 10kg of beef and turkey.. well hes a pup so will be eating 1.5-2lb per day so £40 every 11-12 days doesnt sound cheap lol surly theres something wrong there?

Honestly I don't do it for the price and I feed a base of chicken quarters as that is less expensive. My total cost is much less than what you quote. For three dogs 12 days I spend about $25 US.
