crating
Hi there,
Can you suggest a strong crate for my 15 month old staffy(Dexter)
He kept getting out of the ordinary wire ones, and actually scraped himself on one of the wires he bent.
I now dont use the crate in fear he really hurts himself.
He has now started on my furniture, chewing my three piece chair arm, he seems addicted to foam.
I work full time.
He is walked on a morning and then I have a dog walker at dinner time who takes him out again for an hour.
This routine is Mon - Wed,after that my mother has him as she does nt work Thurs and Friday.
Ive thought of a baby gate but my house is open plan..
Any advice greatly appreciated
This is my first Staffy
Regards

Re: crating
Welcome to the forum
My crate was from Jollyes and is very strong. But tbf Logan was never in it for very long.
You are making a good effort with the dog walker etc

Re: crating
thanks Matt for your reply,
Dexter really isnt left for more than than 4 hours them 3 days so think I am doing mu best for him.
As i said given him the run of the house because of the wire crate problem
Will have a look at the site you mentioned, of course it is difficult to contain him as he is really strong. Sjould have called him Rocky/Houdini

Re: crating
If he's happy enough to go in the crate and feels safe there you can even leave the door open. That's what I did with Logan, but then you havta make sure there is nothing dangerous at reach.

Re: crating
You can get the rigid travel crates that are used for airline travel - they're strong but very expensive!
