noisy pup
we have had our pup for 2 weeks now and she still cries and yelps when she is left in her cage,she is 9 weeks old &we have been trying 2 get her used 2 it slowly as my wife works part time [4 hrs a day] but she cries & yelps the whole time.my wife has just had 2 weeks holiday at home with her & has started back 2day.also she wont come when she is called & when she does come all she wants 2 do is bite is this normal ,

Nine weeks old and she wants to bite? Very normal. Here's a link for the biting:

As for the crate, does she go in it when she wants to? Do you make her go into it or does she see it as a safe, nice place to be in? You could give her a StagBar if you don't already have one, or a Kong filled with some nice food, and she should occupy her boredom by doing something else.
Besides that, just ignore her and let her cry it out until she decides there's no use (provided she doesn't need feeling or the toilet and etc., because at her age she should be let outside for the toilet every 30 minutes or so for toilet-training).

thanks for the reply .yes she will go in by herself through the day.what is a stagbar or a kong, she is getting good at house trainig & she will go to the back door.

A StagBar is a deer antler for dogs to chew on, you can get them online at Amazon or from Pets At Home, they last for weeks/months. A Kong is a toy to chew on but you can also fill it with treats so she doesn't get bored.

thanks i will try them. she has a few chews in there now but doesnt seem interested.
