dog cooling collar
Some of you may know that Chance overheats very easily as it's a common thing with ambulls, and he can throw up a bit when he's hot. We do various things to help cool him down with damp cloths and wetting his head and such. but i've been looking for a collar that could help keep him cool.
I know there are alot of vests out there that are supposed to keep them cool, but I will still be working them in the summer to keep their exercise up so they need to wear harnesses and i'd rather not put them over a vest.
So i've been recommended these from a lass in america and alot of working dogs tend to have them on as they don't get in the way. I have contacted them to see what sort of delivery price i'm looking at as the collars aren't to pricey.
I'm hoping it won't be to much 'cos i really like the look of them

Re: dog cooling collar
Nice, I hope it works, be useful for all the exercise when it's really hot out I read that splashing their chest and paws with water helps cool them down?

yes that does cool them down, as does wiping down between their back legs and armpits I don't mind doing it just looking for something to help prevent it so much

Re: dog cooling collar
It'll be interesting to see if they work. If they do, and the postage isn't too bad, I might get one for Demps.

Turns out the postage isn't to bad but you need an american credit card to pay like american express which i don't have. But i have found them on ebay so will be buying the from there next month which works out a little more expensive but i don't mind
It would have a worked out for 2 medium collars and a medium refill pack + postage at roughly £50 direct from them

yer that's what i'm thinking, i'm going to buy them from ebay anyway, but i like the idea that you can use the ice packs for in doors and then put ice init when they are outside so it melts to cool them down

Re: dog cooling collar
I had to get the off ebay as they don't sell them in the UK and they are from america as that's where they are made
