is my staffy crossed

im wondering if my staffy is crossed as i think she is because of the tail and he snout looks a little too long, but the breeder told me she is pedigree but unfortunately i do not have papers

Welcome well, without papers you'll never know for sure, but there are lots of breeders (irresponsible ones) who will tell you a dog is pure breed but doesn't have papers, when they're really not. Unfortunately you can't trust people's word so she might be a cross, you'll never be able to know for certain.

its really bugging me haha as ive had 2 other full pedigree staffys who were bulky but she doesnt seem the same shes quite skinny and lanky compared too my others

She's so young though.... She could grow to look more staff like because they all grow differently

yeah true one thing though is that she has a curly tail like a pig i dont know whether this is fault as she has had it since birth but the mother and father both had straight tails

some dogs are born differently in the litter but it is rare. The fact that the parents were not registered says it all really so you will never know. She looks gorgeous though

The full IMG code isn't copied so your pic hasn't shown up. But again at that age it's hard to know. Without papers it is hard to tell, and even when you have them it still doesn't guarrantee anything.

She looks great in your avatar though.

It would be a fault if you were going to show her, but otherwise it isn't a problem. Almost certainly a birth defect or even a throwback to the old Bulldogs, although that's less likely.

Without the papers you will never know for sure, not to worry though going by your avatar shot she is gorgeous

She looks very Staffy to me. That aside she is a very good looking and healthy dog

She's beautiful! Her muzzle doesn't look too long to me, they vary as to whether the dog is more bull-type or more terrier-type. She's a little more terrier than bull, so her muzzle's fine.

The tail just looks like 'one of those things'. Some are born with a short, curled tail - I'd say it's a throwback.

Wow she is stunning. She does to staffy to me, and I have learned heaps from this forum about staffies. Pixee is our first staffie, and she does have a longer tail than normal, but who cares, when you have a bundle of love there

Maybe it would help if you looked up the breed standard on the KC website and then got out your tape measure! lol. I thought Ashton was quite 'lean' for a male staff, but we had 5 generation pedigree certificates and brought from breeders, and we have actually tracked back his family tree for 12 years, all KC reg staffs! However, he fits the breed standard, he is just particullarly fit I think cus he never sits still! There is not an ounce of fat on him! He is up at 6, runs about like mad all day swimming, jumping, you name it! Then at midnight we have to put him to bed, but I hear him go out the dog flap so I know hes still up for a bit! Wish I had his energy!

You must have a very nice and secure garden for them to come and go as they please too!

have'nt been on here in a very long time looking back at the photos now makes my chelsea look tiny haha well here she is now 1 year and 11 months old

I know a pure staffy with a curly tail

Tail could be curly, straight, short or long - what a lovely looking girlie, I wouldn't give a toss.
