you can't take them all home
As usual i was volunteering today, and just as i pulled up what did i see staring out at me? a wee red staffy pup!! aww he was so adorable.... So i am now starting to see why everyone said "you can't take them all home" Theres always staffies gettin brought in but never yet has there been a red one, and i do have a soft spot for the red ones!
I mean not for a second would i even think about takin Leroy back he's settled in great and he is such a good lad so well behaved and chilled out (polar opposite of Diesel) but i was so tempted just to slip this wee pup in my boot when no-one was looking! If only i had a bigger house and garden i would have

Aww I hope he goes to a good home! I daresay he will - reds are quite popular at the moment! Though unfortunately, that can be their downfall.

It would be very hard to avoid ending up with them all sitting in your living room

I know exactly what you mean about not having a bigger house and garden, I think I would have the same issue I fall in love every time I go to Woodgreen

Re: you can't take them all home
oh the temptations of working with rescue dogs eh! Hehe, what type of rescue do you work for? Is it a chain like RSPCA or dogs trust? I hope he's interested in the pup though! Nothing better than seeing them go to a good home and watching them grow

Aww bless I hope the pup gets a forever home... such a shame that so many don't get the homes they deserve but good to know that the dog homes do their best for them

I think you do a wonderful job but it must be heartbreaking having to not bring them all home

Re: you can't take them all home
I would have a house full if I could. I need to win the lottery and buy a mansion with acres of land and adopt thousands of dogs!

That must have been so tempting! I'm not allowed any more dogs or I would be tempted to get a rescue

Its just the local council run stray dog shelter, i'm just volunteering til i go to college in sept to study animal care, then hoping to go on to study dog behaviour - really curious as to what makes them tick and would love to try and help rehabilitate troubled dogs. Cant wait til i can just work full time with them
