Re: Hello
Hi Kate,
Yes had the same problem with my first staffy! Just a firm no usually knocks it out of them and he may be teething so make sure you have plenty of toys that he can chew. Mine still mouths sometimes when she gets overexcited, but a quick no and she stops. With the crate training I have no idea cause I have never done it.
Not too much help but goodluck.

Re: Hello
Hi i crate trained my staffy from 8 weeks old he will stop howling after a few times of u leaving him kaiser didnt mind the crate after a few days i just went out for half hrs at a time just so he knew i was coming back. he still cried a bit when i first left but soon stopped it i think it is the best way for training kaiser was a dream he never chewed anything always make sure they have lots of chewy bones as this stops them causing havoc in the house kaiser never chewed anything he shouldnt have and i say that was down to the carte and always having things for him to chew your pup will get there in time just be pateint

Re: Hello
try using a kong toy filled with peanut butter and put in the freezer to freeze should keep him occupied for ages and maybe stap the barking , at 6 weeks old its all big changes for your puppy aswell so some crying etc is to be expected
