Staffy's sunbathing

Hi all!

Is anyone else's staffy a sun worshipper??

My girl LOVES lying out on the back doorstep sunbathing.
She gets moody when I take her in lol.
She has plenty of fresh clean water available & comes in to rest & cool down.

Any other advice??

We have to take Rocky's bed outside and put it in the sun for him, he loves one particular spot that catches the sunshine

Lola lies in the sun when it shines through the window. She becomes deaf when doing this...

It's a nightmare during summer with Dempsey! He doesn't cope well with heat and his panting gets quite distressed. So what does he do, instead of laying down on his special Cool Mat? He goes out into the garden and sunbathes. We have to take a bowl of water down there in case the idiot gets thirsty and can't be bothered to go back inside.

Brutus loves the sun. Constantly out lying in it working on his tan. He even barks at the sun when he gets hot and then lays in the shade.

Yep. He follows the sun around the room and lies on it, or goes outside and sunbathes with his StagBar

Yeah darcy loves the sun too, she always finds the tiniest bit of sun anywhere to lay & bathe :-)

I have the same problem as you, Logan will NOT come inside, and I don't like him being outside on his own. So it means me standing at the door for ages!

Alfie follows the sun all around the front room. He will even hang off the sofa if his face is in the sun

Yeee Shéara loves the sun, especially when it shines through the window. Unfortunately the new house weve moved too has a north facing garden so were not gettin much sun apart from 6-7am, which of course is faaar to early for him to get outta bed

they will sleep in the sun on the bed but no where else, if outside they find the shade and wont budge or dig holes and lay in that. they are very active when its cold but when it heats up nada nothing. walks are halved and my arms get a welcome rest. last year I had to wet then down for and evening walk or they wouldnt move.

Ebony is much the same! Except she'll sit there in snow, rain, wind you name it she'll sit on the path sniffing the air Anyone would think she's never been out before the way she sits there!

All dogs love heat, i have a plinth heater in my kitchen and as soon as i switch it on she will run to it and lie in front of it untill she is panting until she can take no more, same with the fire in the living room.

Mr Jack runs outside when the sun is out and collapses as though he has been shot lol xxxxx

Yep , think all staffs fancy themselves as sun gods , at the moment Tommy seems to prefer ther sun spots inside the house though

We only got Bacchus last September so he hasn't seen much sun, but a couple of times in the last week I have left the conservatory door open and he has lain on the back step. Will see how the summer goes as we get the sun all day in the garden.
