Hey everyone!
I got a staff/lab cross last week from RSPCA. He has the body of a staff, but is very much a lab in the face. He's a lovely dog, hasn't barked at all yet - maybe it's due to him settling into a new home? I'm not sure, but he seems happy enough. Slight separation issues, but wouldn't be without him.

Yes hopefully it will. He doesn't like going to bed at the moment, thought of maybe trying the pheromone diffusers to see if it helps settle him.

That might help Have you tried putting a loud clock in the room? The rhymic sound can help them feel at ease, as they're habitual animals. Radios can also help if they're on quietly.

We had a clock in the room with him and he still goes into panic and cries. I got an adaptil pheromone collar and a diffuser today, will see how he likes it. The diffuser is near the sofa, he keeps wandering over to it so I'm guessing he can tell its there

Hopefully that will help.
If not, it may just take a couple more nights for him to settle. Dempsey cried for about three nights when we first got him, but when he realised that there was nothing to be scared of, he calmed down.
