try distracting him with a treat to bring him away from it before you pick up or use a plant spray bottle to give him a quick spray, its difficult to stop it during the night but once he stays clean through the night, you should be able to correct easier

My labrador used to do that.I got a bottle of tabasco sauce, and watched him when he went.Soon as he did i shook tabasco sauce all over it,and he didnt touch it.I kept doing that and he stopped eating it after a few days. You could try it Smile

Oooh, mean! But sounds a good idea!

You could also try giving your pup some pineapple. Apparently it puts them off eating the resulting poo!

But as Marty says, once he's housetrained fully & he's clean at night you shouldn't have as much of a problem.

Ive never had this problem but apparently a little grapefruit juice mixed into their food will stop them doing it. What food is your puppy fed on?
