Re: teething
Absolutely normal.
Make sure she has loads of good, hard things to chew on. Also, frozen carrots are good, plus maybe a frozen, wet old teatowel that she could bite on to soother her gums.
You can also get gel from Pets at Home to soothe sore gums.

Re: teething
You'll find she'll lose them now in the next few weeks hopefully. It's very normal.
Things like ice cubes, frozen vegetables work great to calm the pains down. And just have plenty of chew toys for her to help move it along

Thanks. Its great being able to come here. No matter what the question theres always a fab answer. I currently have a wet rope toy in the freezer to give my arm a rest from being chewed. X

Re: teething
Oh yes I think the teeth falling out is making her hyperactive. She runs so fast around the room or garden that she ends up crashing into the wall or fence. Shes not usually like this so am I right in assuming its the teething?

Re: teething
It's normal. I used to fill a container full of water and freeze it, so he had a giant block of ice to chew on. Pets At Homes do treats that are filled with something that's meant to ease the pain too, but Loki didn't bat an eyelid.

Re: teething
I was sooooo happy to see the back of the dreaded needle teeth can't say I miss them. We used ice cubes & frozen carrots and scrambled round looking for teeth, we managed 3, one fang & 2 back teeth

Poor Lola is going through it now. She has lost 4 incisors from the top and 2 from the bottom. Going through a bit with her pre molars at the minute. And I must say, I can't wait for her nasty dagger canines to go...

Very normal, in addition to the advice given be aware she may nip or mouth a little more than usual as well

Re: teething
Gwen is 16 weeks and we are waiting for her to lose her first tooth! She is ridiculously nippy at this point and was a big chewer before but now literally needs to be chewing something 24 hours a day 7 days a week! She even wakes up 2 or 3 times a night to chew for a good 30 minutes! So we are thinking (aka hoping) that she will start to lose her teeth soon!

Have you got her a StagBar? Whenever Loki chewed something he wasn't allowed to, we'd say "No" and shove his StagBar in his mouth . They are great though, and freezing some water so she has a block of ice is good for teething, as well as frozen carrots.

Lola had a frozen carrot last night. What a mess luckily I put her in the kitchen with it.

Re: teething
I did the same as Gingerknicker with a frozen rope toy. cotton ones are the best as they grip the teath when bitten.
Some of Laskas adult teath pushed past a few of her baby teath and that looked very scary... was about to go to the vet when the needles fell out on there own.

Re: teething
I will second the frozen tea towel!!! Duke who is almost 15 weeks was going absolutely bonkers tonight, sprinting everywhere, chewing every toy for 5 seconds and trying the next, barking like a madman. Froze a tea towel (I tied a few knots in it), he chewed it for half an hour pretty calmly and is now lying on the couch much happier!! Can't believe how much it helped!!

Re: teething
We got a kong donut (popped the squeaker though) and popped that in the freezer for Otis along with some of the other advice which has been given. We managed to get about 3 or 4 of Otis' needles
