i think i may have gout

my knees and toes are killing me

most of my mum side as it I'm only 31

I don't think it affects the knees much, does it (I could very well be totally wrong there!)? But it does affect the toe joints. If it's gout you'll have to cut right back on alcohol!

Me too. I throw a mini tantrum when doctors are even mentioned, as I'm sure my mum will tell you.

But from what I've heard/read, anti inflammatories help.

Maybe it would be worth taking a trip up to the doctors, just to make sure it isn't something else? Easier said than done, though. Doctors = scary.

You don't take somebody else's medicines!

The doctor can tailor the treatment to suit each case, so get to the doctors!

Steve apparently if ya eat a load of broccoli it's suppose to help gout, it neutralizes the acid in the blood! which is the main cause of gout.

It can affect all the joints, but you can get creams that help too if you're not keen on pills.

having a lot of icon rich foods makes it worse

Vitamin B12 helps as does Apple Cider Vinegar. Stay away from acidic foods like tomatoes/red wine/beer/pineapple etc

i just been looking at some photos of it i thought my mum was bad i hope i never end up like that or i will be telling them to chop off my legs

A freind who suffers with it was telling me he eats loads of broccoli to help it so not sure why it helps him then. I'm shocked how common it is!

i eat really well only think i do bad is i drink and eat bread i dont eat red meal

My father in law has it and if he has any alcohol or rich food it flares up. Get to the docs asap

keep away from seafood red meat dark beers and eat loads of BING cherrys and high vit c fruits
anti inflamatorys normally take 3/4 days to start to work so only give releif for a day or 2 before it clears up itself.
i was given some amazing stuff when in america told my doctor and he said not avalible over here

It is suppose to be very painful, kings used to get it years ago apparently too much rich living! So King Steve hope it gets better soon!

Feeling for ya! My Grandfather had gout bad and it was a killer! Hope it isn't and that you can get it sorted pronto!

It could be something as simple as your shoes. I have flat feet and am an overpronator so I have to wear a specific shoe or my legs feel like crap. Might be worth looking into as once I figured it out my legs felt alot better

Too much iron can also definately cause a problem.
