Any other gym queens?
Anyone else a bit of a gym freak like myself?
unfortunately my mates lack motivation and knowledge, and despite my attempts to encourage them, they still believe that the way to get a beach body is to just posess a gym membership!
im also training as a Personal trainer so if anyone wants some advice on exercise and nutrition i will happily bore people to their back teeth
cheer guys

Re: Any other gym queens?
I used to up until about 5-6 months ago. Did a fair bit of exercise, nothing too extreme though. But with work etc I've struggled to find time sadly.
My brother still goes everyday without fail.

Re: Any other gym queens?
I hate the gym or any kind of organised exercise . I prefer to go for a jog or a long walk with my music on.
My oh much prefers going to the gym or boxing and is much fitter than me

Re: Any other gym queens?
I'm not a gym freak myself but I am married to one. Not so much these days but he has trained as a Fitness instructor and dietician in the past. Can be somewhat annoying at times.

Re: Any other gym queens?
I used to go gym religiously.
Whole life revolved around it. I'll be back soon when I've sorted my shift patterns out

Re: Any other gym queens?
Used to hate exercise, went to the gym a few years back and loved it. At the moment walking Loki I can just about manage, so no chance of getting to the gym and giving him adequate exercise, but I'm hoping when I can do more exercise, I can go back and take it more seriously because I want to get fitter and lose some weight.

Not really. Exercise makes you feel better and you are less tired during the day since you will have more energy. If you eat right and exercise you also put off alot of health problems and will live a longer life

Not good, your dogs are trying to tell you something. If a tired dog is a good dog the same holds true for people.

Re: Any other gym queens?
I was into it a while ago but stopped, just starting up again now!
Brought quite alot of stuff from MyProtein (total protein shake, creatine monohydrate, multivitamins, fish oil tablets, etc).
And brought a sh*t load of chicken/salmon to freeze which is what I'm going to base my diet on.
Training isn't a problem for me, I can get into it pretty well but I always have a problem with diet, either not being able to eat enough calories or just falling for too many carbs (i'm a sucker for desserts!)

Re: Any other gym queens?
I used to go the gym allot but like allot on here work starts to take up so much time that spare time is normally spent with the family rather than down the gym. Would love to get back into it as like jstaff says it does make you feel better and more energetic

Re: Any other gym queens?
im quite lucky and have a gym at work, so it keeps the motivation up walking past it every day 10 ten times.
Quite into it at the moment, been going for about 9 months but before then it was about 4 years since id done anything resembling excersize....apart from walking the mush of course.
For those without the time, when talking your hound out, get heavy ankle and wrist weights...makes your walk more of a workout...
or..
tabata
tabata is a instense circuit training. They last 4 minutes but best to do 1-4 every couple of days.
12 mins every two days?
give it a google/youtube search I love these circuits.
