What should i do??
when i was walking lexy today we usually walk past like a closed of traveller camp but i think its an o0ld woman that just lives in it. anyway there is a german shephard there and when my lexy tried to go over and sniff the G.S bit her in the face and it made me think if that was a child it would seriously hurt.
im seriously thinking about informing the RSPCA or the police about the dog to have it removed as its close to a childrens creche too and on the off chance it escaped it would be a horrific scene.

You may want to report the fact that your dog has been attacked if nothing else. I wouldn't hold out much hope with the RSPCA though, my experience with them isn't very positive.

Well, dog-aggression isn't the same as people-aggression. But either way, no harm in calling them and seeing if they can do something about it if you feel it's needed.

lexy is always on a lead but the GS was like behind a fence and lexy just went over fr a sniff at the GS was extremely aggressive

Agree with this. In my experience you would probably be wasting your time with the RSPCA, unless of course you happen to catch them with a camera crew in tow... as for the police, it's worth reporting it, but if it is anything to do with travellers the ob won't want to know either. Sad but true. When you've reported it, that's probably all you can do.Tara wrote:dog-aggression isn't the same as people-aggression

Agree with above that dog and people agression is different but if you feel it needs reporting then you should. If only to give you the satisfaction that you did all you could. Go with your gut.

You can't assume that because a dog has bitten another dog, it will bite a human. As has been said, DA is very different to HA.
If the GSD was behind a fence in it's home then it's quite possible it was just being territorial and putting on a show.
Was your dog actually injured?
