All clear
Hey everyone,
I'm so happy to be finaly posting this
We went to the vets today as Daisy finished her treatment for Demodex a couple of weeks ago AND she got the all clear, YAY YAY YAY
It's been such a tough few months for her, not just the demodex (which left her very bald) but first finding herself in the pound/rescue, getting kennel cough there, then ear infections, eye ulsers, and a cherry eye which she had to have sewn back in plus we had her spayed in January (I would have waited to spare her the op while she was poorly, but we had to have it done before she came in season again in case it brought the demodex on). But she's such a little trouper and is now fighting fit and really seems to have settled now and enjoying her new life and is even progressing really well with her training.
Long may it continue and, thanks to anyone who gave me advise along the way xxx
I'm now going to have a celebratory glass of wine whilst giving daisy lots of cuddles

Great news Sazzle I'm sure you are thrilled!
You should be proud of yourself for helping her through it. She's been brought up well!

Re: All clear
Cheers everyone and thanks so much for your lovely messages I have been waiting for this day for what feels like forever!
Cherry eye, is when the bit in the inside corner of their eye pops out, think it's a gland or something to do with tear production, they can stitch it back in or remove it completely but if they remove it, it can cause dry eye problems. That's the best of my understanding from what the vets said anyway!!
Poor little thing she obviously has inherited alot of problems from bad breeding, but hopefully she can have a long, happy healthy life with me now

What I love best about all this is you restoring my faith in people again, what you have done to make sure she can have a long and happy life which is fantastic. I think you deserve a pat on the back too for all your hard work and patience to see it through, you sound like a person that would have sold the house to make sure the dog was alright and that I can relate to. well done and best wishes to you both, enjoy that wine ;o)

That sounds terrible she's landed on her feet with you though, so she'll definitely have a happy, loving life I'll celebrate with some McDonald's
