Australian/Victorian members
I thought this was a worthy read and quite informative re the Vic BSL's
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/86080080/BREED%20SPECIFIC%20LEGISLATION%20IN%20VICTORIA.pdf
This part makes me
It is very clear through the 5 Standards that the Government is targeting American Pit Bull
Terriers as that Standard covers 11 pages and is very descriptive and carries photos depicting
what the Standard is supposed to be describing. One of those photos is of a Stafford head in
profile!
Please read it (at least from page 4 down) as it affects all Victorian and Australian Staffy and Staffy X owners

Re: Australian/Victorian members
The last paragraph sums it up really. Sadly I'm not very familiar with dog law legislation in Australia/Victoria:
Owners of all dogs should be concerned at these laws and be agitating for change. Owners of
Staffordshire Bull Terriers should be seriously concerned as these laws put this breed right in
the cross hairs of the target. I do not know if this was intended or not, but the fact remains that
the breed is and therefore wide-scale urgent action by all owners is needed to fix the problem
we have. Owners of American Staffordshire Terriers now have a problem given the tribunal’s
use and later confirmation of use of S. 3(1) as an avenue of declaration. DogsVictoria
members should be putting pressure on that body to do more to protect these two breeds and
evry dog owner should be putting pressure on their local state MPs to repeal the BSL aspects
of the Domestic Animals Act. Apathy and leaving it to others will not work in this instance
and it is time for all to stand up and demand to be heard and not to leave it to a few.
It sounds like all owners will need to join together though,

Re: Australian/Victorian members
I didn't know you weren't allowed Presa's over there?
And does it hint that Amstaff's are generally protected as they are bigger/heavier than the APBT Standard?
