Since yesterday skye has decided that my sons bed is a good place to pee. She has never done this before so I dont know why she is now. I try to keep the stair Gate closed but kids being kids forget and leave it open. I went up this afternoon and she just jumped on the bed and squatted infront of me and started to wee.Any one have any suggestions? Thanks x

She has got herself into a bit of a bad habit just. The only way to stop it is to try and catch her in the act, then take her straight outside and stand until she goes to the toilet then praise her. Don't tell her off because that can't just confuse them and make it harder to solve.

It can be prevented by using the baby gate but it won't solve the problem in the long run. Good for when you aren't around and can't keep and eye on her though Smile

hi, i would have to agree with matt, very good advice he has offered. Its one of those little habits that just needs nipping in the bud, she still only a baby so she still learning. Have you thought about a baby gate on his bedroom door till she learns?

Shes 16 weeks this week. I just find it strange that shes done it all of a sudden. Shes really close to my little one and always goes in to have a peek while hes asleep. Its like shes checking hes ok. Sweet. I'll keep an eye on it and follow the great advice above x

Oh, if she's only 16 weeks then you've nothing to worry about! She's just not learned it's not ok to do it there yet, not will she have any bladder control. Puppies don't really start to have propper bladder control until about 6 months.

To her, a nice absorbent bed that's not hers is a great place to pee! You either only need to let her in the bedroom for about 5/10 minutes after she's emptied her bladder outside or watch her like a hawk if she's on the bed and interrupt her if she starts to go then whisk her off outside to finish then treat Smile
