fur texture.

just wondering, what your dogs fur texture is like.
As you can tell Romeo is a VERY red staffy, and his fur is rather soft. on his head and neck its like velvet, on the rest of his body is glossy and smooth soft.
Matilda, who is a black brindle staffy, she has smooth glossy hair too... but you can really tell that it is much corses stronger hair.
Romeo's sister Nuppu also has soft fur, but its longer then his... strange no?
just wondering, whats your dogs fur like?

Tyke on his back and rump is alot more course than my sisters white staff, but go down his neck and tummy and he like velvet

When we having snuggles i burry my face into his neck as its like teddy bear hair

Logan's is mostly very soft too but then a bit thicker/wiry along his back.

Moo is soft but very course and her under belly is almost bald Xx

Romeo is softest on his white patches. i like to rub my face on his dome head because its so super soft cashmere like. but he is soft all over his body. it seems the darker the dog, the stronger the hair

Loki's hair is mostly...I can't explain it really, smooth but not very soft, a little bit coarse. But on the sides of his neck, head and his chest it's very soft and cuddly

well my two are white and their fur is very very soft all over

Katy is soft all over but her head & ears are really soft

I was gonna bring this up but never got round to it ... my black brindle was quite course really, tho smooth

Max on the other hand is sooooo soft and velvety, but I cant get over how dense his coat is ... or should I say pelt

I tried to look for fleas once when he was scratchin, and I couldnt even part the fur enough to see his skin . he's half otter I reakon

My girl Diesel has fur so soft, smooth, silky and long !

Whereas my boy Tanks fur is a lot shorter - smooth but coarser (or thicker hair ) feeling near his butt/tail/bottom of bk.

Bella's hair is quite soft and velvety around her head and ears.

We often get some lovely comments about Rocky's coat as it's very shiny and soft to the touch. Rocky is a cross with something but we still are not too sure what with: maybe Patterdale, maybe Border Collie, who knows for sure ??? The quality of a dogs coat is due to many factors such as genes, quality of diet , and how well it is maintained. Sounds like we all doing well on this front.

My two are super soft and lovely to snuggle!

Bacchus's head and especially his ears are lovely and soft but the rest of his body is much coarser. I put the coarseness down to being walked a lot in this cold weather??

hes a lovely mottled brown today after being in the garden (its not showing in the pics but he has a thin layer of mud all over him and his belly and paws were filthy
im not convinced that its just mud either

id love to but as you can see from the pics above he rarely sits still long enough haha
theres usually just a white blur

Bacchus is quite the opposite. He is areal poseur and loves his photo taken as you can see if yo look at my thread " Being published " in the Puppy Chat.

Monte's is similar to how you describe Romeo's. Pigglett is really soft but ultra short and thin in some areas on her belly. Frosty has longer hair but it is soft. I think it is variable to some extents, but I have always thought the longer hair a bit strange...

Dempsey's a weird bull terrier. They're supposed to have short, course hair. His fur is quite long though and very, very soft around the neck, sides, belly, legs, etc. It's only course along the back but that fur is so long, it looks like his hackles are permanently up!

Ramsey is like velvet but is back is tougher fur

Steff's is quite course but very smooth Never really noticed until we met her best staffy friend Charlee and her coat is sooo soft.. Steff is black brindle and Charlee is a lighter reddish brindle
