Because it's only been two weeks don't worry too much, it takes a while for a new dog to settle in, especially one that's came from a bad place. Just gotta have patience and you'll get there Smile

just looked at some reviews on them, i'm going to cancel them, they have some really bad reviews on how they train them like giving them raw chicken, never had a staffie before, but im sure that will be the wrong road to go down, going to find some other trainner that understands the breed

Don't quite understand why giving them raw chicken could be a big problem ???

Nothing wrong with raw chicken. I don't feed raw, but a good few of our members do and it works wonders for them Smile

Anything you hear about raw that is bad is probably rubbish and borne through ignorance of others , loads of our members feed raw and have very well developed and very healthy dogs , just I couldn't do it myself Smile

My 2 are fed raw meat daily Smile IMO it's the closest u can get to what they'd eat in the wild. Don't think their ancestors had Tin openers or could open packets !

I've not heard of Barkbusters either.

I'm not keen on so call behaviourists tbh. I got one out when my girl was a pup and she badically told me I was doing everything wrong. And that j should bf ignoring her all day. Kind of a seen n not heard attitude.... I followed the guidance for 2 days. My girl did nothing but shake n tremble...never again.

Staffys are ppl dogs.
They need human contact n love. Basically big lapdogs.

just gave him a bit of raw beef, he loved it and raw carrots too, lol, he has only been with me a couple of weeks and has learned so much already, he was not housed trained, but managed that in a week, he is really quick to learn, i just don't want anyone coming in and making things worse for him, i think he needs loads of love, so he knows he is safe now and no harm will come to him

Sounds like he's settling in.

Keep up the good work. A good diet, exercise, love, discipline and consistency = a happy staffy.

In my opinion, most dogs can be trained without any professionals being called in, all it takes is the right research into how to train them. In his case he probably just needs to settle in too. But feeding raw chicken is fine, I give Loki raw chicken wings and he loves them and hasn't had a problem with them Big Grin
